Beer-Swilling Humans Against Humanity

Look, we know what a horrible person you are. YOU know what a horrible person you are. And your friends DEFINITELY know, because they're just as horrible, if not more so. (Especially Karen. Go to therapy, girl, please.) TONIGHT, you get to fully and publicly embrace your worst instincts and create the kind of jokes that would make your grandma DIE ON THE SPOT from shame and embarrassment*, as we play everyone’s favorite horrible game, Cards Against Humanity!

How we do:
- Teams of 5 or less receive white cards.
- Our award-winning** comedian DJ, Alex Sanchez, will read out a black card.
- Teams will create the worst/funniest answer possible from their cards, and turn them in.
- Alex will read out each team's completed answer, and the winning one will be chosen by popular vote or tyrannical ruling, whichever comes first.
- Winning team receives the black card.
- After 12 rounds, the team with the most black cards WINS, receiving praise, infamy, and, I don't know, some beer or gift cards or a free bar rag*** or something. YAY!

* Sincere apologies to all the grandmothers out there whose deaths have already been caused by their grandkids' deplorable antics.

**His fourth-grade teacher gave him a gold star once because he stopped licking glue sticks for a WHOLE WEEK.****

***Cleanliness not guaranteed.

***She had to take it back the next week when he started licking the class pet, a legless lizard named Belly.

Hallelujah, It's HAPPY HOUR TIME!

A lesser-known effect of Oklahoma's new alcohol laws will finally allow bars and restaurants to observe “true” happy hours, with discounts and other differentiated pricing at any time of their choosing. We've been patiently waiting for this moment since 2016, and now we're ready to kick it off!

Oak & Ore’s Happy Hour will take place every week, Monday through Thursday, from 4-6 p.m. and from 9 p.m. to close. Our happy hour specials will include:
- $1 off all Oklahoma-made beer
- $4 rotating featured beer
- $6 cocktails
- special bar food menu

For October 1, the specials will run from 4 p.m. until closing time as part of the statewide celebrations observing the new laws, and Senator Stephanie Bice will join us for a celebratory toast!

424Fest Day 5: Brewers Union

As Oklahoma prepares for new and historic alcohol laws to come into effect this October, we're looking back at the legislation that changed the landscape for local breweries: Senate Bill 424, which, on August 26, 2016, finally allowed breweries to sell their full-strength beer on-premise. This gave way to the current boom in growth, with over a dozen new breweries or taprooms opening over the last 2 years, and another 20+ on the horizon.

This week, we're featuring breweries whose existence largely hinged on the passage of SB424, or whose behind-the-scenes work was incredibly important to its passage. Come join us and raise a glass to this brave new beery world!

Featured Beers
Elk Valley Brewing Co.Coconut Pineapple Pale Ale
Vanessa House Beer Company Vanilla Cinnamon Blackberry Berlinerweisse
